In today’s public school classrooms, learning in and through the arts is sorely lacking, particularly for those in underserved communities and struggling schools. With a lens on equity and the need for a well-rounded education in an era driven by standardized tests, we have dedicated professionals who are passionate about advancing the cause of arts education for all.

DG&Co. created a cohesive communications plan that includes redefined messages, and recommendations for media outreach and online communications to educate and engage the public on Cool Culture’s programs and activities.

Our community of advocates, parents, thought leaders and communicators believe that all children deserve a great well-rounded education. We also know that learning in and through the arts should be a vital component of all public schools for every student -- no matter where they live.

Arts for Academic Achievement

Arts for Academic Achievement is an initiative of the Minneapolis Public Schools system. It works with a network of partners to promote its mission to improve student achievement and teacher practice by integrating the arts with other subjects.

ArtsRising

ArtsRising is a collaborative initiative led by a partnership between Philadelphia Education Fund, Public Citizens for Children and Youth and Fleisher Art Memorial. Its mission is to improve and expand equitable access to arts education for all children in the Greater Philadelphia Region so that youth are better engaged in school and in their community, persistent through high school graduation, and prepared for post secondary opportunities and for the 21st Century Workforce.

Douglas Gould and Company designed and maintained KeepArtsInSchools.org - a project of the Ford Foundation's Integrating the Arts and Education Reform initiative. An online resource, it provides parents and arts advocates with online toolkits, the latest research on arts education and tips on how to create online petitions and write letters to editors and policymakers.
