Keep Arts In School
KeepArtsInSchools.org is the most active online community for local arts education advocates. Our community of advocates, parents, thought leaders and communicators believe that all children deserve a great well-rounded education. We also know that learning in and through the arts should be a vital component of all public schools for every student - no matter where they live.
KeepArtsInSchools.org focuses on the efforts and successes of local organizations, communities, teachers and leading voices throughout the country. Launched in 2007 as a portal for the Ford Foundation’s Integrating the Arts and Education Reform initiative, it has since grown into robust online resource for advocates nationwide.
Douglas Gould and Company built KeepArtsInSchools.org to serve as the primary hub and repository of learning-related information for the initiative’s community of arts advocacy leaders. It serves as a fully interactive community for local, state and national advocates and thought leaders in the field of arts education. Leveraging top-notch content, social media and email engagement, Keep Arts In School is an active and robust online hub for advocates. Topical feature content is presented on a monthly basis, providing readers with news and best practices. Features include:
- Voices of Innovation Podcasts – a series of informative interviews with the leading voices in the arts education field including nonprofit and government leaders, arts and educators. A full list of the Voices of Innovation Podcasts is available at KeepArtsInSchool.org. Voices of Innovation Podcasts are also available for download at the Apple store.
- Advocacy Toolkits – a cornerstone of KeepArtsInSchools.org, the toolkits give local advocates practical tips, how-to-guides, and templates for building support for the arts and arts education in their communities.
- Online Education Series – Presented as webinars, these educational modules give advocates detailed, hands-on tactics. The learning modules feature thought leaders, case studies and research and are archived on KeepArtsInSchool.org so advocates can access them at a time most convenient for their schedules.
