Branding is the promise an organization makes to the world. Douglas Gould and Company advises our clients on how to be intentional about their brand and what its look and feel means to external audiences.

Good nonprofit branding clarifies core values and ideas. Our creative team keeps a keen focus on these core elements as we brainstorm new vehicles that enable the client to realize and promote its brand. We work with staff and board members to develop clear messages and a compelling visual image reflecting these core values. Finally, we leave clients with guidelines on how to best utilize these assets by framing them correctly and ensuring they maintain a solid association to the organization.

Points of Entry: Guiding Adults to Education and Career Success

The Points of Entry project, funded by the Open Society Foundations, aims to promote the development of career pathways and transition programs for low-skilled adults and prisoners in re-entry. The initiative works with eight sites in Alabama, California, New York and Massachusetts.

Accelerating Opportunity

Accelerating Opportunity: A Breaking Through Initiative is a multi-state collaboration that seeks to reform adult basic education in the United States. Through an innovative combination of basic skills and occupational training, it is giving adult learners the skills they need to secure family-sustaining employment. The initiative is supported by ground-breaking coalition of funders including the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Joyce Foundation, the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, the Kresge Foundation and the Open Society Foundations.

The Atlantic Philanthropies

Atlantic Philanthropies is a philanthropic organization whose goal is to bring about lasting changes in the lives of people who are disadvantaged by their economic situation, race, nationality, gender, age, disabilities, immigration status, sexual orientation, political affiliation or religion. Atlantic Philanthropies supports programs in ageing, children and youth, population health, and reconciliation and human rights around the world.

Mississippi Center for Justice

Mississippi Center for Justice is a nonprofit, public interest law firm that pursues social justice across racial and economic lines for all Mississippians, working tirelessly on a range of issues from payday lending to recovery from environmental disaster. Douglas Gould and Company worked to highlight MCJ’s leading role in social justice efforts as well as shed light on relief and recovery work that needs to be done in Mississippi.

Pennsylvania WIC Program

The Pennsylvania WIC Program's mission is to improve the health of eligible pregnant women, new mothers and children by providing nutrition education, breastfeeding support, healthy foods and referrals to health and social programs during the critical stages of fetal and early childhood development.

Pennsylvania Department of Education, PA Pre-K Counts Program

Pennsylvania Pre-K Counts, established by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, is a state-run program bringing quality half-day and full-day pre-kindergarten to nearly 12,000 three and four year olds in Pennsylvania.

Pathways to Higher Education is a global initiative from the Ford Foundation with partnering institutions worldwide.
