Alisa H. Kesten, Senior Associate:
Alisa joined Douglas Gould and Co. in 2006, a natural progression of a career in political and non-profit advocacy campaigns. Since joining Douglas Gould, Alisa has worked with clients in areas of Education & Youth and Social & Economic Justice to develop components for effective advocacy and communications campaigns. As a founding partner of KSM Consultants, Alisa’s political clients include many elected officials currently serving in state, county and local levels of government. In 2006 Alisa was the regional coordinator of Westchester/Rockland for Senator Hillary Clinton’s re-election campaign.
Her political involvement is but one side of Alisa’s multifaceted interest base. Her guiding purpose is to inspire, motivate and lead others to choose a life of community involvement that creates a positive and ongoing legacy of social action. Alisa is Vice Chairman of The Volunteer Center, a strategic partner of the United Way of Westchester-Putnam; former Co-President of the New Rochelle Public Library Foundation; graduate of Leadership Westchester/Fairfield; board member of Miklat which provides shelter and services of abused Israeli Orthodox Jewish women; and organizer of Emory Cares Day for the Emory University Alumni Chapter of Westchester. Alisa is a persuasive public speaker and experienced writer, as well as a powerful motivator and team builder. Alisa has a B.A. in Political Science from Emory University and an M.S. in Early Childhood Education from The College of New Rochelle.
