Michael P. Nemec, Associate
Michael Nemec joined Douglas Gould in March of 2007. He has an extensive background in education and political communications. Most recently, Michael ran the Media Relations shop at the Council for Opportunity in Education, one of the nation’s leading advocates for increased college access for low-income and first-generation students. Prior to that Michael worked in Senator Joseph Biden’s (D-DE) Washington Senate Office, was the campaign manager for Mayor Dan Malloy’s, Stamford CT, successful re-election campaign and worked in internet operations and on briefing books for Senator John Kerry’s presidential campaign. Michael holds a Master of Public Policy from Georgetown University’s Public Policy Institute and went to the University of Colorado, at Boulder, as an undergraduate. After completing college, Michael spent two years teaching English as a second language in Boffa, Guinea (West Africa) as a Peace Corps Volunteer.
