Nathan Boltseridge, Senior Associate:
Nathan joined Douglas Gould and Company
in the spring of 2010. He brings nine years' experience overseeing and creating online strategies to raise awareness around progressive issues ranging from healthcare
to civil rights. Prior to joining Doug Gould and Company, Nathan oversaw the online communications and national messaging
for Computers for Youth.
Nathan earned his BA in history from the University of Connecticut and received his Master's in the history of science from Oregon State University where he studied the history of science. After leaving academia, Nathan turned back to communications work, with Boston-based AIDS Action Committee of Massachusetts. There, he cut his teeth on online advocacy, working to mobilize Bay State activists to push for a historic bill that reduced the rate of HIV by ensuring that needles could be purchased over-the-counter in pharmacies.
Nathan moved to New York City in 2006 and joined the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, where he directed online content and special publications. There, Nathan led the creation of content for PPFA's online advocacy portal that launched during the 2008 election cycle, and headed up the writing team tasked with creating copy for its political campaigns.
An award-winning writer and an avid photographer, Nathan currently enjoys writing about his exploits in the kitchen and taking pictures outdoors. Although he also loves to travel, Nathan gets a bit uncomfortable when he's been offline for more than 48 hours.
