Rosslynn Pieters, Media Coordinator:
Rosslynn Pieters came to Douglas Gould and Company as an intern in the summer of 2008 and we just wouldn’t let her go. As Media Coordinator at Douglas Gould and Company, she has acquired a solid reputation for effective networking and for utilizing resources.
Rosslynn has more than eight years of experience in Marketing and Advertising. She has worked for Forbes Magazine, Epic Records, and Varsitybooks.com where she developed and implemented creative marketing campaigns to help increase market performance and build brand awareness. Prior to joining Douglas Gould and Company, Rosslynn spent years in the education sector and experienced the perennial issues facing our education system, such as overcrowded classrooms, lack of parent involvement, ineffective policies, shortage of adequate teachers, wide achievement gaps, inequity in funding, and cuts in extracurricular and after school programs. She has since partnered on such issues to evoke change in the system and to get the conversation rolling on how to help reshape city schools.
No stranger to social justice issues, Rosslynn’s passion is public service. As an advocate and volunteer for the National Dress for Success Program, she helped disadvantaged women returning to the workforce become self-sufficient through job training and personal development workshops. She has also volunteered at community soup kitchens, mentored and tutored youth, worked with women with substance abuse problems who were living in shelters, built low income housing through Habitat for Humanity and continues to devote her time to causes that are close to her heart.
Rosslynn holds a M.S. degree in Communications from The College of New Rochelle and a B.B.A in Marketing/Advertising with a minor in Sociology from Pace University (NYC).
